About the Role: We are looking for a Qualified Butcher to join our Woolworths New Zealand team. We are proud of the diversity of our team and the roles they play in running our store - this role is great for anyone who enjoys a hands-on job with plenty of variety each day. Showcase your impressive knife skills and knowledge of meat. In this hands-on role, a day in the life could look like:

  • Cutting, trimming and packaging meat products as well as using different machinery
  • Interacting with customers helping them choose the best cuts of meat for their needs
  • Maintaining great presentation for the Butchery department
  • Sharing your knowledge by training and developing other team members
  • Championing Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety practices to ensure a safe working environment for customers, staff and contractors

About You: Hold a NZ Certificate in Trade Butchery. Have a willingness to start early and work on your feet for most of your shift. Be a strong communicator and effectively communicate with customers and team members. Regularly lifting up to 15kgs, bend, reach and complete repetitive movements.
