We’re looking for a practical, customer-focused engineer to work with modern, exciting robotics and automation technology used in advanced industrial environments. This role is well suited to engineers with core electro-mechanical maintenance knowledge, including those earlier in their career who are keen to learn and develop skills in robotics, automation, and PLC-based systems. Structured training and hands-on support will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity to grow into a specialist automation role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing and commissioning robotic and automated systems
  • Carrying out service work and preventative maintenance on automation equipment
  • Providing breakdown support both onsite and remotely
  • Fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, and control systems
  • Learning to diagnose and fault-find PLC-controlled systems (training provided)
  • Delivering customer training and onsite support
  • Working safely and in line with all Health & Safety procedures
  • Maintaining clear service and job documentation
  • Supporting wider operational activities as required

The Candidate

This role is open to engineers with varying levels of experience, provided they bring the right foundation and attitude. You may be a good fit if you have:

  • A basic to intermediate understanding of electro-mechanical maintenance
  • Experience working with industrial machinery, production equipment, or similar systems
  • A genuine willingness to learn automation, robotics, and PLC fault-finding
  • A conscientious, reliable approach and strong attention to detail
  • Good problem-solving skills and a methodical mindset
  • The ability to work independently while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • A positive, professional attitude when working with customers onsite
  • Flexibility around working hours and travel

You’ll also need to be:

  • Happy to travel regularly across the UK.
  • Willing to travel to Europe for training and product updates
  • Comfortable with periods away from home as part of a field-based role
