We are hiring a PLC, Controls Engineer who will be directly involved in designing, programming, and commissioning complete automated manufacturing solutions used by leading engineering customers across the UK and internationally. If you enjoy solving real engineering problems, seeing systems come to life, and working across diverse automation technologies, this role will suit you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Programming and commissioning PLC-based automation systems
- Developing HMI solutions for industrial machines and cells
- Working with FANUC robots (integration, programming, and support)
- Integrating robots with CNC machine tools and production systems
- Working across industrial networks (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, TCP/IP)
- Supporting full system builds, including electrical wiring, panel build, and mechanical fitting
- Commissioning systems on customer sites (UK and overseas travel)
- Troubleshooting and supporting FAT/SAT and live production systems
- Implementing and validating machine safety systems (PLC safety)
