Shifts: Weekly Rotating (Earlies & Lates: Mon–Fri)
Hours: 40 hours/week + Overtime
We are looking for a motivated Machine Operator to set and run Press Brakes, CNC Routers, and Lasers for an engineering team in Sparkford. Working with steel, aluminium, and plastics, you will take parts from raw sheet material to final inspection. This role offers steady hours, a fast-paced workshop environment, and excellent overtime potential.
Key Responsibilities of the Machine Operator
- Set & Operate: Run Press Brakes (folding/forming), CNC Routers, and Laser cutters.
- Quality Inspection: Read technical drawings and BOMs to verify part accuracy using verniers, protractors, and squares.
- Material Handling: Load/unload sheet materials using nesting software; check thickness and grades.
- Finishing: Debur, finish, and organise completed parts by job.
What You Bring
- Proven experience operating Press Brakes, CNC Routers, or Lasers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with manual measuring tools (vernier, squares).
- The physical fitness and mobility required to handle sheet materials safely.
