Electrical Technician / Panel Wirer
Location: Bridgwater, Taunton, Ilminster, Yeovil, Chard, Tiverton, Minehead
Salary: £35,600 & company benefits
Responsibilities
- Plan and wire a wide range of machines and control panels, following detailed electrical drawings.
- Work as part of a team and be competent in wiring electrical equipment, including PLC control systems, motors, drives, relays, transformers, and HMIs.
- Perform large elements of on-machine wiring involving trunking, cable tray, junction boxes, and various sensors.
- Ensure machines are assembled & completed in accordance with safety standards & compliance to British, European, and International standards.
- Quality testing and checking machines for electrical & wiring faults to a high standard.
Qualifications
- Ideally a fully time-served electrician with control panel/on-machine wiring experience.
- 18th edition of the wiring regulations.
- Ability to read electrical drawings.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal support.
Hours
Hours are 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday–Thursday and 8:00 am – 1:30 pm on Friday.
