Based in Worcester with UK travel. Salary: 50,000 - 60,000.

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Commissioning Engineer. This role is primarily site-based across various client locations throughout the UK, with occasional international travel. The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and successful installation, commissioning, and handover of automated systems to customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate who enjoys hands-on technical work, resolving complex issues, and working directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install hardware and software on customer sites.
  • Lead commissioning activities ranging from minor upgrades to full facility installations.
  • Provide customer support both remotely and on-site.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, mechanical, electrical, and automation software issues.
  • Conduct in-house hardware and software testing prior to deployment.
  • Program and configure PLCs.
  • Deliver customer training at client facilities.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of control software/logic.
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including fault finding.
  • Experience in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic commissioning.
  • Experience commissioning PLC systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and valid passport.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
