As a Strategy Consultant, we expect you to:

  • Quickly become an integral part of our team, owning small projects and large workstreams
  • Help shape the future direction of Cartesian’s analytics capabilities and drive continuous improvement across the firm in methodologies, tooling, and skills
  • Take a key role in client project delivery, relationship management, communications and project management
  • Apply technical and business judgment to address client challenges and offer new insights
  • Work independently, or as part of a team, to deliver rigorous quantitative analysis, impactful visualisations, and compelling presentations
  • Be comfortable working with ambiguity and flexible to changing client requirements
  • Manage junior staff on project teams, with an opportunity to coach and support their personal development
  • Be an internal thought leader, supporting business development and contributing to internal best practices
  • Share our corporate values and take an active role in initiatives to further enhance Cartesian as a supplier and employer of choice

Required Experience

We expect the successful candidate to have 5 to 10 years of experience in strategy consulting, or relevant commercial/technical experience in the TMT industry, in addition to the following attributes:

  • Interest in Cartesian’s focus sectors
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in Data engineering: Relational databases, big data technologies, and data pipeline development. Data analytics: Statistical analysis, geospatial modelling, machine learning, and visualisation.
  • Ability to communicate findings to multiple audiences
  • Track record of independently managing workstreams / projects
  • Self-driven with a commitment to delivering high-quality outputs
  • Strong academic background

Desirable experience includes the application of data analytics methods to solve business problems in one or more of the following fields:

  • Sales and Marketing
  • Customer Experience
  • Network Performance
  • Network Planning
  • Previous consulting experience or other client-facing role, managing outputs and expectations
  • Demonstrable success managing and mentoring junior analysts
  • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments
