CARTERS Cambridge has an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join their busy Yard team. This physical role involves picking and packing orders, and operating a Forklift or Combi-lift to load and unload products onto delivery trucks. You will be a key part of our day‑to‑day branch operations, keeping our yard running smoothly, our stock in order, and our customers well looked after.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and pride themselves on exceptional service and delivery to our customers in a timely, professional, and safe manner. With your high energy and can‑do attitude, you can expect to:
- Unloading and loading building materials either with a Forklift, Combi-lift or manual handling
- Carry out customer deliveries efficiently and on time and in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Pick and assemble customer orders
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers on and off site
About you
You will be the perfect fit for this role if you are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and have the following skills and qualities:
- Valid FULL New Zealand Driver’s Licence is essential
- Forklift F Endorsed Licence with OSH Certificate is desirable
- A background in the building indsutry or familiarity with timber and building proucts is highly desirable
- A team player with the right attitude and willingness to learn
- A real people person with a natural talent for building trust and rapport with our customers and maintaining relationships
- Basic computer skills
- Proven awareness of health and safety legislation in this industry
- Physically fit for the occasional heavy lifting and manual handling
