About the role
CARTERS Cambridge Manufacturing are seeking an experienced Night Shift Supervisor with sound manufacturing knowledge and understanding of the processes within a frame and truss manufacturing environment. You will lead, supervise and coordinate a production team of manufacturing operators and carpenters, ensuring production targets are met; safety and quality is adhered to while training and developing your team. Working 5pm to 5am Monday to Thursday with Friday as required due to business demand.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team of up to 40 team members ensuring products meet customer expectations and requirements
- Manage your team of employees, temps and contractors to deliver performance expectations
- Work cooperatively with the manufacturing leadership team to deliver quality product and service
- Ensure appropriate training and development of staff
- Ensure systems are in place to minimise waste
- Ensure customer delivery dates are met
- Ensure a culture of continuous improvement
About you
You will be highly motivated and have a passion for developing a high-performance culture to meet business objectives while possessing the following skills and experience:
- Leadership role experience in a multi shift environment ideally Night Shift.
- Strong technical and tactical experience and comprehensive understanding of team leadership within the building/frame and truss manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with regard to technical queries and the ability to confidently provide solutions or remedial actions for your team
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Confidence in computer controlled operating environment
