Our CARTERS Cambridge manufacturing team are looking for a motivated and driven Manufacturing Operator to join the team. You will play a key part in producing high-quality prenail frames and trusses, working the PM to AM shift. In this physical role you will fabricate frames and trusses with nail guns, meeting precise measurements and specifications from technical drawings for our valued building trade customers, whilst adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Operate computer-guided machinery, cut and assemble timber to specification, and contribute to a busy and team-based production line.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate frames and trusses with nail guns to specifications from technical drawings
- Operate computer-guided machinery and manual cutting tools to prepare timber to specification
- Interpret and apply measurements and requirements from technical drawings in a safe, quality-focused manner
- Contribute to a busy, team-based production line while adhering to safety protocols and regulations
Qualifications
- Experience in interpreting building technical drawings and specifications
- Experience in frame and truss manufacturing is advantageous
- Prior experience with power tools, hand tools, and nail guns
- Proficient in cutting materials, assembling, and fastening shaped parts
- Comfortable with computer operations
- Strong communication abilities
- Physically capable of manual labour, as the role involves handling materials
