Base pay range: £60-70k+ (package) £base + car allowance + company pension + 25 days hols. Will be negotiable for the right candidate, per annum, depending on experience.
Working arrangements: 4 days on site, 1 day WFH for the right candidate, with some degree of flexibility.
About the Role: We’re looking for a highly capable, hands-on Finance Manager to manage the financial operations across two sites in our group. This isn’t a passive oversight job: you’ll be deep in the numbers, managing two P&Ls, ensuring technical accuracy, driving process improvements, and working side-by-side with operations, production, and senior leadership. You will be managing a small finance function and report to the Group Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver accurate, timely management accounts for both sites (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, variances).
- Oversee all technical accounting responsibilities: month-end/year-end closing, fixed assets, depreciation, accruals/prepayments etc.
- Lead budgeting & forecasting processes across the group and translate them into actionable business insight.
- Monitor and control costs, liaising with production/operations to understand cost drivers, margin pressures, inventory valuation etc.
- Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, audit readiness.
- Manage and mentor a finance team across both sites; ensure consistency and efficiency across sites.
- Be a partner to the business: help set strategy, support decision making, challenge assumptions, and drive performance improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent) with substantial hands-on accounting experience.
- Prior experience managing multiple sites or divisions / multiple P&Ls.
- Strong technical accounting skills: you can dive into reconciliations, depreciation, intercompany, costing etc.
- Excellent Excel & financial tooling skills; experience with ERP systems; comfortable implementing improvements.
- A proactive, resilient, detail-oriented mindset; you don’t shy away from challenges and want to get stuck in.
- Strong communication skills: you’ll be working with site managers, production teams, senior leadership.
