About the Role

We’re looking for a highly capable, hands‑on Head of Finance to manage the financial operations across two sites in our group. You will be managing a small finance function and report to the Group Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver accurate, timely management accounts for both sites (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, variances).
  • Oversee all technical accounting responsibilities: month‑end/year‑end closing, fixed assets, depreciation, accruals/prepayments etc.
  • Lead budgeting & forecasting processes across the group and translate them into actionable business insight.
  • Monitor and control costs, liaising with production/operations to understand cost drivers, margin pressures, inventory valuation etc.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, audit readiness.
  • Manage and mentor a finance team across both sites; ensure consistency and efficiency across sites.
  • Be a partner to the business: help set strategy, support decision making, challenge assumptions, and drive performance improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent) with substantial hands‑on accounting experience.
  • Prior experience managing multiple sites or divisions / multiple P&Ls.
  • Strong technical accounting skills: you can dive into reconciliations, depreciation, intercompany, costing etc.
  • Excellent Excel & financial tooling skills; experience with ERP systems; comfortable implementing improvements.
  • A proactive, resilient, detail‑oriented mindset; you don’t shy away from challenges and want to get stuck in.
  • Strong communication skills: you’ll be working with site managers, production teams, senior leadership.

Why Join Us

  • Real autonomy and exposure: your role will carry weight and influence.
  • Opportunity to make visible impact.
  • Working across two sites means variety & challenge.
  • Supportive senior leadership.
