About the Role
We’re looking for a highly analytical and hands‑on Cost Accountant / Costing Analyst to join a dynamic manufacturing business. This key role ensures the company fully understands the costs behind its products, enabling accurate pricing, quoting, and margin management.
Responsibilities
- Analysing the cost of raw materials, labour, and overheads for hundreds of products.
- Tracking production output and productivity to ensure costs are accurately reflected.
- Working closely with production teams to understand manufacturing processes.
- Evaluating profitability and margin on individual products.
- Supporting the business with pricing strategies and accurate customer quotes.
- Preparing reports that provide insight into cost drivers, efficiency, and opportunities for savings.
- Building out BOMs and costing models.
- Hands‑on experience in manufacturing cost accounting, BOM creation, and pricing for retail.
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong technical accounting background, ideally with experience in manufacturing or industrial production costing.
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
- Ability to work closely with production teams and understand the mechanics of manufacturing processes.
- Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, and product pricing.
- Hands‑on, proactive, and able to work across multiple departments to gather accurate data.
