Carter Rolan Group are seeking a highly skilled Head of Supply Chain with a focus on logistics specifically, to oversee . This critical leadership role requires extensive experience in global supply chain management, logistics strategy, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Global Logistics Strategy:
• Develop and implement a global logistics strategy to ensure the efficient and cost-effective transportation of their offerings. Analyse current shipping processes, identify areas for improvement, and create plans to optimize logistics performance.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery process, including managing delivery partners, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure products are delivered on time and in optimal condition.
• Inventory & Warehouse Management:
• Collaborate with supply chain and inventory teams to ensure effective warehouse operations, stock levels, and inventory management systems that align with global shipping requirements.
• Vendor and Partner Relationships:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other external partners to ensure smooth shipping processes and manage any service or cost-related issues.
• Cost Optimization & Budget Management:
• Develop and manage logistics budgets, ensuring cost-effective practices while maintaining quality of service. Identify opportunities for cost savings in shipping and transportation, such as optimizing routes, packaging, and consolidating shipments.
• Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, import/export laws, customs requirements, and environmental standards. Work with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks associated with international trade and logistics.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
• Implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track shipping efficiency, delivery timelines, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
• Problem Resolution & Continuous Improvement:
• Lead the resolution of any shipping or logistics-related issues, ensuring swift and effective action. Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and customer experience.
• Team Leadership & Development:
• Manage and mentor a team of logistics professionals. Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure team members are aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in logistics management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience managing national/international operations and optimizing supply chains for large-scale product distribution.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of end to end supply chain and logistics operations, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and international trade regulations.
• Proficiency in logistics management software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
• Experience in European Expansion and Brexit regulations
• Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing relationships with shipping vendors and third-party providers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing and developing teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
