We are recruiting for an experienced General Manager to lead a large-scale manufacturing operation with full responsibility for operational performance, profitability, customer delivery, and strategic growth. This is a high-profile leadership role within a well-established manufacturing business, overseeing multiple sites and a sizeable workforce. The successful candidate will have full P&L accountability and play a key role in driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and long-term business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, and operational functions
- Deliver business growth, profitability, and operational performance targets
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost
- Develop and execute site strategy aligned to wider business objectives
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team
- Ensure best-in-class health & safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Strengthen customer relationships and support commercial growth opportunities
- Lead change, transformation, and business improvement programmes
About You
- Proven experience as a General Manager, Site Director, Operations Director, Manufacturing Director, or similar senior leadership position
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with full P&L responsibility
- Demonstrable success leading large manufacturing operations
- Track record of delivering operational improvements, cost reductions, and business growth
- Strong leadership style with the ability to engage teams and drive performance
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, engineering, industrial, or process-driven environments
