A fast-growing social housing and supported living provider is looking for a Senior Finance Officer to lead finance operations and protect revenue. You will be working in a busy office and this is a hands-on, high-responsibility role where accuracy, follow-up, and organization are critical.
What You’ll Do
- Chase payments from local authorities and housing partners with persistence and precision.
- Reconcile remittances, forecast cashflow, and produce monthly P&L reports.
- Manage Accounts Payable efficiently and accurately.
- Submit required evidence and documentation to councils and housing associations.
- Complete Housing Benefit forms and other tenant-related financial documents.
- Own the tenant ledger: sign-ins/sign-outs, updates, and integrity of all records.
- Navigate multiple housing association portals daily.
- Identify, investigate, and challenge missing or incorrect payments.
- Be super organised, process-driven, and phone-confident at all times.
Who You Are
- Experienced in finance/accounts within social housing, supported living, or public sector.
- Strong at reconciliation, forecasting, and chasing aged debt.
- Excellent communicator, particularly over the phone.
- Highly organised, detailed, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Confident with finance systems and analytical reporting.
