A fast-growing social housing and supported living provider is looking for a Senior Finance Officer to lead finance operations and protect revenue. You will be working in a busy office and this is a hands-on, high-responsibility role where accuracy, follow-up, and organization are critical.

What You’ll Do

  • Chase payments from local authorities and housing partners with persistence and precision.
  • Reconcile remittances, forecast cashflow, and produce monthly P&L reports.
  • Manage Accounts Payable efficiently and accurately.
  • Submit required evidence and documentation to councils and housing associations.
  • Complete Housing Benefit forms and other tenant-related financial documents.
  • Own the tenant ledger: sign-ins/sign-outs, updates, and integrity of all records.
  • Navigate multiple housing association portals daily.
  • Identify, investigate, and challenge missing or incorrect payments.
  • Be super organised, process-driven, and phone-confident at all times.

Who You Are

  • Experienced in finance/accounts within social housing, supported living, or public sector.
  • Strong at reconciliation, forecasting, and chasing aged debt.
  • Excellent communicator, particularly over the phone.
  • Highly organised, detailed, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Confident with finance systems and analytical reporting.
