This Senior Bids Executive opportunity is positioned in a leading law firm and will join a collaborative BD & Marketing function, to play a pivotal role in a growing team, offering the chance to lead high-profile bids across both public and private sectors.
As a Senior Bids Executive, you’ll play a central role in driving the firm’s growth by leading strategic bids and ensuring the highest quality of submissions. Your responsibilities will include:
- End-to-End Bid Management: Leading the full lifecycle of bids—from opportunity identification and qualification through to drafting, submission, and post-bid analysis.
- Strategic Collaboration: Working closely with Partners, subject matter experts, and the wider Business Development & Marketing team to shape compelling, client-focused proposals.
- Content Development: Creating and maintaining a high-quality bid content library, including case studies, CVs, policies, social value narratives, and client service delivery materials.
- Pitch Preparation: Coordinating and facilitating pitch rehearsals, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring teams are presentation-ready.
- Market Intelligence: Monitoring and circulating new opportunities from portals, direct approaches, and frameworks, ensuring timely responses to relevant tenders.
- Performance Analysis: Gathering and analysing bid feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement, and producing MI reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Brand Consistency: Ensuring all bid and presentation materials align with the firm’s brand and tone of voice, in collaboration with the wider BD&M team.
- CRM & Data Management: Keeping the CRM system up to date with bid activity, outcomes, and insights to support business planning and reporting.
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- Proven experience managing complex bids in a professional services environment (legal sector experience is a plus).
- Strong writing, editing, and proofing skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Highly organised with strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM, document management, and tender portals.
