An exciting opportunity to join a leading US law firm! This is an interesting and multi-faceted role spanning multiple legal practices and requiring the ability to deliver a broad range of public relations activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying suitable profile opportunities in target media, spanning national, broadcast, practice group trade, regional and legal media titles.
  • Manage and leverage relationships with target reporters to secure suitable opportunities for partners.
  • Scheduling and organising media briefings for partners, including preparing partners for media interviews and advising lawyers on press response techniques.
  • Actively generating and seeking story ideas and pitching these to relevant titles to secure positive media coverage.
  • Writing press releases, pitches, articles and other communications materials for use with the media.
  • Researching, developing and writing story angles to improve newsworthiness of routine firm developments (e.g., office openings, big wins, new partners).

Key Attributes required:

  • Public Relations experience within a law firm or an agency partnering with legal clients.
  • Extensive media contacts.
  • Excellent communications skills - both written & verbal.
  • Well organised and someone who delivers what they promise to a consistently high standard of quality.
  • A supportive team player able to demonstrate experience of building a collaborative environment.
