An exciting opportunity to join a leading law firm as a Business Development Manager. This role focuses on working closely with the fee earners to develop a go to market BD plan. Supported by a team of high performing execs, the role will work with the wider BD and marketing function to help the firm reach its growth targets.
Your Role
- Develop and deliver BD/marketing plans that complement and drive forward the overarching sector strategy.
- Collaborate with sector BDMs and the wider marketing team to take products and services to market, create sales pipelines and support stakeholders in converting opportunities.
- Work with the marketing and campaigns team to design compelling sales and marketing campaigns with support from Knowledge, Communications and Campaign teams.
- Actively manage a pipeline of targets and use campaigns to generate new business leads.
- Provide BD/sales activity reports for your teams.
- Create and promote new legal products and services relevant for your sectors and service lines.
- Provide seamless BD support across the UK office network and in partnership with international alliance firms.
- Lead the development of compelling proposals/bids and pitch presentations with support from the Bids team.
Your Skills and Experience
- Graduate or equivalent, with proven business development experience in a professional services environment.
- Strong proposal and bid writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
- Highly commercial with a strong understanding of business issues.
- Experience with CRM systems and marketing technologies.
- Proactive, persistent, and a team player.
