A leading international law firm is seeking a BD & Marketing Operations Manager to take ownership of its pitch and RFP technology and drive a step‑change in how the firm delivers high‑quality, data‑driven proposals. This is a newly created role within a forward‑thinking BD & Marketing function during a period of significant investment and transformation. The role sits at the intersection of technology, data and pitching excellence, ensuring the firm’s automation tools, templates and processes are optimised, adopted and continuously improved.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior BD & Marketing Operations Manager, you will be the firm’s subject matter expert for pitch and RFP automation. You’ll set the roadmap, champion adoption, and ensure the platform is supported by accurate, well‑structured credentials and experience data. Working across BD, Marketing, Knowledge, IT and service line teams, you’ll use analytics, feedback and market insight to enhance processes, strengthen outputs and improve win rates at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own pitch & RFP technology — manage the firm’s automation platform, ensuring stability, optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Enhance systems & processes — translate user needs into system updates, refine templates and streamline workflows.
  • Lead credentials & data management — maintain accurate, structured experience data and implement governance standards.
  • Drive analytics & reporting — monitor usage, adoption, win/loss trends and ROI to inform improvements.
  • Champion adoption & best practice — provide guidance, training and playbooks to support consistent use across teams.
  • Ensure compliance & governance — oversee brand, regulatory, data protection and change‑control requirements.
  • Manage vendor relationships — coordinate support, enhancements, testing and upgrades with technology providers.
  • Collaborate across BD, Marketing, IT & Risk — act as the link between technology, data and proposal owners to strengthen pitch quality at scale.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Experience ~5–7 years’ relevant experience, ideally at Manager level, with the confidence to operate independently.
  • Experience with pitch or proposal automation platforms (Templafy experience advantageous).
  • Proven track record improving pitch/RFP processes using technology, structured data and AI.
  • Strong process and change management capability.
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.

Knowledge

  • Understanding of pitching and RFP processes and how technology supports quality outcomes.
  • Knowledge of credentials and experience data structures.
  • Awareness of how pitching varies across audiences and sectors.
