This role sits in an international law firm and will play a pivotal role in taking ownership across practice and working closely with the wider business development team and partnership to shape key client development and new business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BD Strategy Delivery Support: Implement the firmwide BD strategy across practice groups, sectors, and markets, prioritizing areas of growth and opportunity.
  • Collaborative Working: Work closely with the BD and marketing team to support growth plans and enhance the firm's brand.
  • Sales Mindset: Deploy new approaches to winning work across the firm.
  • Opportunity Pipeline: Focus on strategic priority sectors and markets to develop a pipeline of high-value work from existing and new clients.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on clients, targets, markets, competitors, and rankings to identify key clients and targets for new business.
  • Key Account Management: Support the delivery of a Key Account Management programme, including account-based marketing programmes.
  • Client Feedback Programmes: Assist with the client feedback programme, driving insights into the client lifecycle and influencing strategy.
  • Deal Collection/Experience Lists: Capture and verify case and experience information, recording it in relevant databases.
  • Learning & Development: Assist with training sessions on BD fundamentals, skills, and techniques to empower lawyers to deliver their own business plans.
  • Bid Support: Provide support with high-priority pitches and bids when required.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong and lasting relationships across the firm.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Support reporting and analysis to measure successes and ROI.

The successful candidate for this role will have experience within business development, within a law or professional services firm.
