We’re looking for a German-speaking Business Development Manager to lead sales efforts across the DACH region and support broader initiatives throughout EMEA.
Your Role
As a mid-level Technical Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities, while expanding relationships with existing enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Engage enterprise prospects via outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, and events.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline in CRM with accurate forecasting and timely follow-ups.
- Solution Selling: Understand client needs and position solutions to address business-critical challenges.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with IT managers, directors, and C-suite stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, sales engineering, and customer success teams.
- Account Expansion: Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Market Insight: Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
What You Bring
- 5–7 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or account management in B2B software.
- Proven success selling enterprise software, ideally in data protection or disaster recovery.
- Strong understanding of solution-based selling and complex sales cycles.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Based in the UK with willingness to travel across EMEA.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field.
Preferred:
- Experience selling into IT departments and working with channel partners.
- Background in SaaS-based enterprise solutions.
- Formal training or certification in computer science.
