Due to business growth, we are looking for an experienced RICS Chartered Surveyor to join our Commercial Landlord and Tenancy team based within our London head office. The post holder will be responsible for a varied caseload of rent review, lease renewal and asset management instructions for a wide range of occupier and investor clients, nationally and across all three sectors (retail, industrial, office). This role will suit someone looking for a new career challenge and with the desire to build client relations while ensuring the delivery of excellent service to all our clients. The role will involve frequent travel across London and the South-East of England.

- Inspection and measurement of property
- Gathering and assimilation of comparable evidence
- Putting together schedules and client reports
- Day to day interface with client and opposing advisors
- Identification and development of potential new instructions
- Agreeing and confirming terms of business and fees
- Preparation of expert reports for both rent reviews and lease renewals
- Attending business development and client update meetings
- Conducting negotiations and attending meetings with third parties and opposing advisors
- Cross-selling of our services to other teams and vice-versa
- Collaborative and helpful approach with other members of the CRE team regarding shared projects and clients
- Developing relationship with lease advisory team members located within Carter Jonas’ regional network and involvement with joint projects and clients
- Ability to promote lease advisory services with Carter Jonas and beyond
What will it take to be successful? We are seeking a Chartered Surveyor with significant post qualification experience and good working knowledge of landlord and tenancy and all relevant acts. The post holder will have strong client management and communication skills and will have the ability to drive business initiatives forward in a confident and personable manner. Ideally, you will be willing to secure associate membership of ACIArb within 18 months (if not already secured). The role involves frequent travel, so a valid driving license is required.
