We are looking for an experienced RICS registered valuer to join our Commercial Valuations team based within our Head Office in London. The role will have a particular focus on providing valuations for loan security purposes to all major banks. This role will suit someone looking for a new career challenge and with the desire to build client relations while ensuring the delivery of excellent service to all our clients.
Our London based valuations team cover the whole of London and the south-east region and report on a wide range of properties including commercial investment properties, operational assets, residential developments, commercial and mixed-use developments.

Main tasks:- Work within the existing valuation team in London, providing valuations for loan security (vacant possession and investment), internal decision-making purposes, tax and financial reporting purposes.
- Carry out inspections, calculating floor and site areas, comparable research, demographic and economic research, planning and statutory enquiries, company trading analysis, lease reading and summarising, development / option agreement reading and reviewing, preparation of valuations / development appraisals.
- Contribution to the growth of the business by identifying new business opportunities across the Commercial valuation sector.
- Assist in the delivery of major projects.
- Financial and client reporting.
- Delivery of valuation reports in accordance with client instructions and RICS Valuation Standards.
- Participation in the ongoing development and implementation of an effective profit centre business plan developed in-line with the Carter Jonas vision.
- Take an active role in the development and implementation of efficient, ‘best practice’ internal systems and processes, optimising IT and other resources.
- Contributing to the development of the junior members of the team.

What will it take to be successful?You will be an experienced chartered surveyor and registered valuer, with a strong knowledge of valuations across commercial assets. You will have good working knowledge of relevant legislation and will ideally have a strong understanding of the local market to be able to identify new opportunities to grow the business further. Travel will be required in this role, and a driving licence is essential.
