This Edinburgh based PR agency is looking for an Account Executive who has an interest in working across resi property (new builds), energy/sustainability and real estate. A background/interest in these sectors is ideal but not essential, but strong b2b and b2c skills and ideally previous PR agency experience useful.
With offices also in London and the South East, this is a dynamic and forward-thinking team that will really support you from day one and give you access to the opportunity to build your own media and PR network.
The Role
An energetic, creative Account Executive is required to join this busy, Edinburgh based team. A background and interest in Corporate, Business services, Environment and Sustainability is the ideal combination.
Key duties will include:
- Being able to take a strategic view of promoting and protecting clients’ reputations in relation to all stakeholders
- Able to demonstrate media relations skills, fluent in a range of media tactics (proactive and reactive) and an understanding of journalist relationships
- Able to offer client counsel and advise
- Full and active participation in driving new business, seeking opportunities, developing and drafting proposals
- Working across client teams, and keeping senior team members up to date
- Be aware of political economic climate that shapes the environment and property sector
- Running and monitoring social media campaigns
- Understand client strategy and account workloads
Candidate specifications
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- A good understanding of the market and industry (environment, real estate, property, pro services)
- Well-read and up-to-date on industry news
- Some PR agency experience
- Be looking to develop client relationships
- A knowledge of the relevant trade press
- Excellent writing skills drafting a wide range of copy from thought-leadership pieces, press releases and articles to website and newsletter copy
- Good knowledge of relevant social media
- Full and active participation in seeking opportunities, developing and drafting proposals
- Confident, creative and fluent in communication and engagement tactics across all platforms/audience groups
- Demonstrate agility and flexibility in responding to change or shifting agency requirements
