The Role
- Key Responsibilities
- Review Tender Documents: Analyse architectural drawings, specifications, and client requirements to understand project scope.
- Take-offs and Measurements: Perform detailed take-offs.
- Cost Calculation: Calculate total project costs, including material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
- Supplier Liaison: Obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and manufacturers.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and internal teams to gather project information and clarify specifications.
- Proposal Submission: Prepare and submit detailed tenders and bids within strict deadlines.
- Value Engineering: Propose alternative, more cost-effective materials or methods to improve tender competitiveness.
- Project Handover: Collaborate with project managers to ensure a smooth transition from winning the bid to on-site execution.
- Manage the estimation and tendering process, maintaining clear communication and meeting submission deadlines.
