Plant Manager – Refurbishment Centre Location: Goole Hours: 42 hours per week Salary: Competitive Our refurbishment centre is at the heart of our growth strategy. We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Plant Manager to lead our Goole operation, develop our people and ensure vehicles are refurbished safely, efficiently and to the required quality standard. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a strong presence on the shop floor and a passion for building high-performing teams and improving operational performance. Key responsibilities Lead and develop the refurbishment-centre team, including Production Managers and Team Leaders. Ensure safe, high-quality and cost-effective production. Improve production flow, lead times and first-time quality. Build a positive culture based on trust, teamwork, respect and accountability. Apply Lean and Thinking People System principles, including Gemba, 5S, visual management and structured problem solving. Work closely with Logistics, Purchasing, Finance, HR, suppliers and Transport providers Develop Team Leaders and create a strong succession plan. Support continuous-improvement and cross-functional projects. About you You will have significant experience in production or operations management, ideally within an industrial or automotive environment, with experience leading large teams. You will also demonstrate: Strong leadership and people-development skills. A hands-on, field-based approach. A growth mindset, humility and eagerness to learn. The ability to build trust and work collaboratively. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Customer focus and operational ownership. Experience of Lean, TPS or continuous-improvement methods. The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. A formal degree is not essential. What matters most is your leadership capability, learning agility and commitment to developing people and performance.
