The Commercial, Creative and Professional School at Carshalton College is seeking a dedicated Lecturer to plan, organise, assess and teach on L1-L3 Creative Media programmes. As Course Leader, you’ll be responsible for L2 and/or L3 UAL Creative Media Production involving Interval Verification, curriculum development. assessment, evaluation and other administrative duties relating to the post. You’ll embed the development of skills (English and Maths) in teaching practice at all levels, ensure the effective and efficient use of innovative resources allocated to the programmes contributing to the future direction and planning on site and online and you’ll forge industry links for visiting speakers and work experience. As our Lecturer, we’d like you to hold a degree or relevant professional qualifications in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have excellent current teaching skills, recognised as a good or better teacher. You’ll have a proven track record of successful curriculum design, implementation and development in the curriculum area with experience of teaching L1 to L3/4 Creative Media Programs, including BTEC and UAL syllabus. You’ll have knowledge of all three stages of production with industrial experience in Adobe Creative Cloud, cameras techniques, video and sound production. With a thorough understanding of quality assurance and improvement processes and how these can be used to enhance the student experience, you’ll have a track record of successfully monitoring and supporting “at-risk” learners to achieve or exceed their potential. With good general IT skills, including familiarity with MS Office, you’ll be hardworking, flexible and an excellent team player. This post is primarily based at Carshalton College however, you may be required to travel to or work from any of the South Thames Colleges Group sites. Closing date for the return of completed applications is 16th July 2025. Interviews to be held on 18th July 2025 on site at Carshalton College which will include a presentation.
