We’re looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our busy HiQ Service Centre in Towcester. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing automotive group that values quality, teamwork, and career development. The Role: You’ll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, repairing and maintaining vehicles to manufacturer and warranty standards, while delivering excellent customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out complex diagnostics across a wide range of vehicles
- Servicing and repairing vehicles to a high-quality standard
- Completing MOT tests (where qualified) in line with DVSA requirements
- Accurately identifying faults and advising on the best repair methods
- Communicating progress and issues with the service and aftersales teams
- Prioritising workload alongside the Aftersales and Service Managers
- Monitoring job progress and ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Level 2 or 3 Vehicle Technician
- MOT Tester licence (preferred, but not essential)
- Strong diagnostic and electrical fault-finding skills
- A proactive, team-focused approach
- Commitment to high standards of workmanship and customer service
