About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Workshop Controller to join our dynamic Cars2 service team in Omoda / Jaecoo Wakefield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership and organisational skills who can manage the daily running of a busy workshop while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and their own efficiency level. This opportunity is a great stepping stone for those with ambitions to become a Service Manager / Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and job allocation to technicians.
- Maximise workshop productivity and ensure all repair and maintenance work is completed to brand and company standards.
- Liaise with the Service Advisors, Parts Department, and Technicians to ensure smooth communication and excellent customer experience.
- Monitor job progress, quality control, and completion times.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and ensure compliance with health, safety, and manufacturer and warranty standards.
- Support and develop the workshop team through coaching and performance reviews.
About You:
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or Senior Technician in the motor trade.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
