An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Finance team as an AAT Apprentice . This will involve a 3 year rotation within the Finance Department to experience and learn the different sectors.

The Job

To play an important role in providing efficient and effective administrative and clerical support to the finance function. As an AAT apprentice, you will have a development programme made up of three placement rotations that will give you exposure to the following key departments in the finance team: Accounts Payable, Financial Planning & Analysis and Financial Reporting & Control.

Creation of new supplier accounts and maintenance of existing accounts as necessary.

Review supplier statement reconciliations and rectify any discrepancies.

Allocation of direct debit and proforma payments to ensure unallocated payments are kept to a minimum.

Verify accuracy of invoices and ensuring correct coding is applied.

Ensuring invoices are approved for payment in a timely manner.

To help build relationships with suppliers by answering queries in a timely and helpful manner.

Adhering to agreed processes and controls, ensuring compliance with best practice.

Assist with the planning, coordination and timely submission of management reporting.

Assist with preparation of annual budgets.

Support the business in any process and system development.

Adopt an ethos of continuous improvement across all financial processes and controls.

Assist with the production of weekly and monthly KPI reports.

To adhere to Company and Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.

To ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice, are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes of a Workshop.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES REQUIRED
