We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team at our BARNARD CASTLE Country Store. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about serving and supporting the Rural and Agricultural industry and who wants to assist with the day to day running of the country store alongside an established distribution team, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and standards are achieved at all times. The role is for 24 hours per week.

THE JOB

To deliver products out to our customers in a timely manner whilst also:

  • Actively supporting other team members to ensure targets and tasks are completed
  • Delivering good working relationships with all team members
  • Promoting the business and work to a required standard
  • Following company procedures to complete tasks without assistance
  • Working to get routine daily tasks done in time and to the standard required
  • Following through customer enquiries, requests and problems and dealing with them promptly
  • Confidently dealing with customer problems and establishing customer needs
  • Ensuring all policies and procedure in respect of Health, Safety and Environment are adhered to, providing a safe and secure environment for self, staff and customers
  • Complying with legislation surrounding UFAS, FIAS and NOPS assurance schemes
  • Being aware of the risks in the work environment and their potential impact on self, colleagues, customers and visitors and taking action to address them
  • Attending training and developing relevant knowledge and skills
  • Ensuring deliveries required on the van are done in a timely and professional manner

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES REQUIRED

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to liaise between a number of departments
  • Exceptional customer service skills as dealing with many internal and external customers
  • Full UK drivers licence so able to do van deliveries to customers
  • Qualified Forklift Truck and Telehandler Driver with experience in actively loading and unloading vehicles
  • Team player, with a genuine interest in helping others

DESIRABLE

  • Holds a tacograph card
  • Agricultural knowledge and experience
