Warehouse Operative - Country Stores in Skipton

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team at our SKIPTON Country Store. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about serving and supporting the Rural and Agricultural industry and who wants to assist with the day to day running of the country store alongside an established team, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and standards are achieved.

The job involves:

• Organising the warehouse and yard, plus the arrivals and despatches of goods.
• Actively supporting other team members to ensure targets and tasks are completed.
• Delivering good working relationships with all team members.
• Promoting the business and working to a required standard.
• Following company procedures to complete tasks without assistance.
• Completing routine daily tasks in time and to the required standard.
• Following through customer enquiries, requests and problems and dealing with them promptly.
• Confidently dealing with customer problems and establishing customer needs.
• Ensuring all policies and procedures in respect of Health, Safety and Environment are adhered to.
• Being aware of the risks in the work environment and their potential impact.
• Attending training and developing relevant knowledge and skills.
• Ensuring any deliveries required on the van are done in a timely and professional manner.
• Keeping the yard tidy and presentable with stock rotation.
• Providing shop counter cover when necessary.
• Ensuring all legislation and approved codes of practice are adhered to in respect to ongoing compliance.

Skills, Experience And Qualities Required

Essential:

• Team player, with a genuine interest in helping others.
• Continuously looking to improve the yard areas and displays.
• Full UK drivers licence so able to do Van deliveries to customers.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to liaise between a number of departments.
• Exceptional customer service skills as dealing with many internal and external customers.

Desirable:

• Qualified Forklift Truck and Telehandler Driver with experience in actively loading and unloading vehicles.
• Holds a tachograph card.
• Holds a CPC Driving Licence.
• Agricultural knowledge.
