We're on the look out for a confident and proactive Customer Service & Sales Coordinator to join our Fuels team, based at Kingstown, Carlisle. This role blends customer service, administration and sales - a perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships and being at the heart of keeping our business moving. This is a full time role but we are also open to considering part‑time working or a job‑share arrangement for the right individual.
THE JOB
- Deliver excellent customer service across inbound and outbound calls, resolving queries first time
- Proactively contact new, existing, and lapsed customers to generate sales and maximise opportunities
- Process orders, produce quotations, and manage day‑to‑day customer administration
- Work closely with our Fuels Planner and drivers to ensure smooth, timely deliveries
- Support customers with account queries, liaising with finance where needed
- Use sales data to identify opportunities and help achieve (and exceed!) targets
- Build strong, long‑term customer relationships to drive retention and repeat business
- Follow all company policies, including health, safety, and compliance standards
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES REQUIRED
- Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Experience in customer service, sales or similar role
- Proactive, positive and solutions‑focused mindset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good numerical and commercial awareness
- Comfortable handling calls from initial query through to closing a sale
- Well organised with strong time‑management skills
- Team player who thrives in a small, collaborative environment
DESIRABLE
- Experience with CRM systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Knowledge of the fuel industry or logistics environment
- Full UK driving licence
