We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Agricultural & Rural Sales Advisor to join our dynamic team at our PENRITH Country Store. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about serving and supporting the Rural and Agricultural industry and who wants to assist with the day to day running of the country store alongside an established team, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and standards are achieved as well as actively promoting and driving sales. This role is a full-time position, however, job share may be considered.

THE JOB
The main focus of the role will be to assist in the day to day running of the country store alongside an established team, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and standards are achieved as well as actively promoting and driving sales. Your duties will include:
- Ensuring customers are loaded with excellent customer service and the warehouse is stocked and tidy.
- Actively maximising profitability, through the branch and via telecommunications to customers.
- Delivering excellent customer service to customers (both internal and external) by understanding customers' needs, providing recommendations with integrity and delivering first rate solutions.
- Exceeding customer expectations by loading orders, performing manual handling duties safely and within your capabilities.
- Assisting the branch in ensuring that daily routine tasks are completed whilst adopting flexibility to ensure other duties, such as warehouse or delivery tasks are completed in a timely manner and to the required standard.
- Liaising with other members of staff in the Branch to ensure smooth trading relationships.
- Supporting and contributing to the effective operation of the business as a member of the branch team, including ensuring adequate levels of all stocked products are maintained in conjunction with the Branch Manager.
- Supporting the Branch in promoting the company brand and working to recognised business standards.
- Adhering to Company and Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.
- Ensuring all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice, are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes.
Essential SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES REQUIRED
- Excellent customer service skills, with an appreciation for our customer base.
- Has an organised approach to work and able to work using own initiative.
- Knowledge of Agriculture.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a retail environment.
- Be a practical problem solver.
- Adopts a flexible approach to work and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
- Team player, with a genuine interest in helping others.
Desirable
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- AMTRA qualification, but training can be given to achieve this.
- Confident and competent user of Microsoft applications systems and fully IT literate.
- Previous experience of using D365.
