THE JOB: Day to day technical support of a busy workshop, covering the following key areas:
- Taking responsibility for some key day to day processes in line with company guidelines and ensuring smooth communication between all parties.
- Playing a key part in offering industry-leading levels of service to our internal and external customers.
- Preparation and pre-delivery inspection of new and used machinery, plant and equipment.
- Carrying out scheduled maintenance operations, safety inspections and the compilation of machinery condition reports.
- Prepare repair proposals and the implementation of timely cost-effective repairs.
- Lead technical support. Be responsible for repairing, diagnosing, maintaining agricultural machinery and equipment from some of the most prestigious agricultural brands.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance as required across the business.
- Maintain on-call service and offer out of hours support as required.
- Working within the workshop or in the field/on farm as required.
- Ensuring Dealer Standards are maintained across the department and maintaining a clean and efficient working environment.
- Maintaining a strong working relationship with all machinery departments ensuring work quality, accuracy and deadlines are met.
Skills, Experience And Qualities Required:
- Experienced team players, able to operate to their own initiative and to tight deadlines with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Individuals who have served their appropriate recognised apprenticeship and have recognised and certified qualifications for servicing and repairing machinery from leading manufacturers.
- Those who are flexible in carrying out work both on customer premises and in our workshop.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to manage change and to adapt to unexpected demands on a day to day basis.
- Confident IT user, including a working knowledge of diagnostic software.
- Flexibility with working hours during busy season and weekends in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to assess priorities and manage competing deadlines both independently and as a member of a team.
- Full UK Driving License required.
- People who are experienced with equipment and machinery from any other sector.
