We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Machinery Parts Advisor to join our dynamic team at the SKIPTON Machinery Depot and Country Store. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about serving and supporting the rural and agricultural industry, helping keep the wheels of the agricultural industry turning while working with leading brands such as Massey Ferguson, Krone, Can‑Am, Stihl, and Horsch.

The Job
- Be the friendly face of our Parts Department, serving both walk‑in and phone customers with expert advice and a smile.
- Support the Parts Manager and Supervisor in driving performance, boosting sales, and delivering industry‑leading service.
- Take charge of our retail machinery area, helping customers find exactly what they need.
- Use your initiative to grow sales, maximise margins, and keep our stock flowing smoothly.
- Handle telesales and counter service with confidence, using all available tools to locate parts and accessories.
- Keep things running behind the scenes – supporting with stock control, goods inwards, and admin tasks across Parts and Workshop teams.
- Collaborate with our central machinery team on exciting projects and budget delivery.
- Champion Stihl and Groundcare product sales in the branch.
- Adhere to company and group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to safety, health and environmental.
- Ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualities
- Excellent customer service skills, with an appreciation for our customer base.
- An organised approach to work and ability to work using own initiative.
- Experience in a similar role, or knowledge of agriculture.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a retail environment.
- Be a practical problem solver.
- Adopt a flexible approach to work and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
- Team player, with a genuine interest in helping others.
Desirable
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- Confident and competent user of Microsoft applications systems and fully IT literate.
- Previous experience of using D365/IBCOS software.
