Over the 20+ years trading, my client has become established and recognised as the leading mid-tier structural alterations contractor working predominantly within Central London, with project values ranging from £200,000 - £10,000,000. The company adopts a pro-active approach to all projects which results in continual repeat business from leading tier 1 and tier 2 contractors, as well as consultants and high net worth individuals. As part of organic growth, we are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will assist in managing and controlling project costs, preparing variation documents and providing commercial support throughout the lifecycle of each project.
Below is a list of key responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing variation submissions with the necessary substantiation, such as measurements, scope of works documents, site reports, populating daywork sheets and pricing of variations from both first principles and utilising contract rates.
- Prepare cost reports and forecasts based on labour, plant and material expenditures.
- Assisting with preparing tender documentation for key sub-contractors, including scope of works, bid analysis and tender comparisons.
- Assist in contract administration with clients and sub-contractors.

Requirements:
- HND/HNC/BSc in Quantity Surveying.
- 2-5 years experience in the construction industry.
- Demonstrable desire to join a specialist sub-contractor, if joining from a developer/main contractor background.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment and meet clients' deadlines.
