As a Senior Account Manager, you'll take ownership of key client accounts, acting as a trusted strategic advisor while leading the successful delivery of integrated healthcare communications programmes.
You'll manage multiple workstreams, oversee budgets and resources, mentor junior team members and work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities for account growth and new business development.
- Build trusted, long‑term client relationships, acting as the senior day‑to‑day contact and providing strategic consultancy that consistently exceeds expectations.
- Lead the delivery of complex healthcare communications programmes from planning through to execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Anticipate client needs, proactively identifying solutions and opportunities that add value and strengthen partnerships.
- Provide strategic guidance across a range of healthcare communications initiatives, collaborating with senior colleagues to develop impactful communications strategies.
- Take ownership of project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning and ensuring commercial success across accounts.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders and key opinion leaders to ensure seamless programme delivery.
- Identify opportunities for organic account growth and contribute to new business activities and agency development initiatives.
- Coach, mentor and support junior team members, helping to develop capability, confidence and future talent within the agency.

Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit
- Previous Senior Account Manager experience, or an experienced Account Manager ready to step up, gained within a healthcare communications, healthcare advertising or medical communications agency.
- Strong consultancy and client leadership skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and confidently provide strategic counsel.
- Proven experience managing multiple complex client programmes while balancing competing priorities in a fast‑paced agency environment.
- Excellent commercial and financial management skills, including experience managing budgets, forecasting and resource planning.
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to proactively solve problems.
- Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles for different audiences.
- Experience mentoring, coaching and developing junior colleagues while contributing positively to team culture.
- A collaborative, commercially aware mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional healthcare communications.
- An enthusiasm for embracing AI and emerging technologies to improve ways of working and enhance client outcomes.
