Carrot Recruitment is proud to be supporting a leading biopharmaceutical organisation in their search for a Medical Affairs Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Medical Affairs function, providing strategic medical and scientific leadership across an established portfolio and pipeline of innovative therapies.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of medical affairs, clinical strategy and NHS collaboration, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to translate clinical evidence into meaningful insights that improve patient outcomes.

As a Medical Affairs Manager, you will provide medical, clinical and scientific expertise across a diverse therapy portfolio, supporting strategic decision-making while ensuring all activities are delivered to the highest standards of scientific integrity and compliance.

Working closely with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory and Pharmacovigilance teams, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering impactful medical initiatives, supporting evidence generation and building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.

You will be involved in:

  • Providing medical and scientific leadership across multiple therapy areas, including immunology, haematology and critical care
  • Interpreting and communicating clinical trial data, real-world evidence and treatment pathways to internal and external stakeholders
  • Leading NHS collaborative projects and supporting clinical research and evidence generation initiatives
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clinicians, NHS stakeholders and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Generating medical insights to inform portfolio strategy and support improved patient outcomes
  • Partnering with Commercial and Market Access teams to ensure scientifically accurate and compliant communications
  • Supporting Medical Information, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance activities
  • Delivering medical training to internal teams in line with the ABPI Code of Practice
  • Ensuring all activities comply with UK and Ireland medical governance standards
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of medical governance processes and compliance activities

Experience and qualities that make you a strong fit:

  • Scientific or medical qualification (PhD, PharmD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent)
  • Experience within Medical Affairs, Medical Advisory or as a Medical Science Liaison looking to progress into a Medical Affairs role
  • Strong understanding of the UK and/or Ireland healthcare systems
  • Experience within haematology, immunology, critical care, emergency medicine or anaesthetics would be highly desirable
  • Experience supporting clinical research or evidence generation activities would be advantageous
  • Good understanding of the ABPI and/or IPHA Codes of Practice
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical and scientific data to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative, relationship-focused approach with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to undertake national and international travel
