Are you a pharma sales professional looking for a role where you can step up into secondary care and work with hospital specialists, without needing years of hospital experience? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing specialist business within ophthalmology, with a strong and expanding portfolio across dry eye, eyelid hygiene, blepharitis/demodex management, retinal health, supplements and glaucoma.
You’ll take ownership of a high-potential South West territory, with a strong mix of dispensing doctors, primary care and hospital ophthalmology accounts, and plenty of opportunity to drive meaningful business growth.
The Role
- Promote and grow a specialist ophthalmology product portfolio across the territory
- Build strong relationships with Ophthalmology consultants and secondary care stakeholders
- Engage with ICB Pharmacists / payor level decision makers to support large switches based on cost effectiveness and clinical value
- Develop account plans, identify opportunities and prioritise activity across a large patch
- Represent the organisation professionally and ethically in line with industry codes of practice
What We’re Looking For
- Essential:
- Minimum 12 months pharmaceutical sales experience
- Must have sold into Dispensing Doctors (DDs) (secondary care experience not required)
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable (but not required):
- Secondary care / hospital sales experience (training and development provided)
- Experience influencing switches, formulary wins or payor-level decision making
- Ophthalmology experience
This role would suit someone who is ambitious, commercially minded, and ready to take the next step into secondary care key accounts while still leveraging their existing DD/primary care strengths.
