Overview

In this role you lead mixed-methods research on patient-centered outcomes to inform pharmaceutical development. You’ll manage COA and PRO-related projects, mentoring junior colleagues while liaising with life sciences clients. You will shape COA strategy, ensure high-quality deliverables, and support business development and dissemination of findings. This position offers hybrid working with a collaborative team focused on meaningful patient-centered evidence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead qualitative and quantitative PRO/COA research projects
  • Support selection, development, validation, and implementation of COA measures
  • Manage projects across timelines, contracts, and budgets
  • Engage with pharmaceutical clients on COA strategy
  • Design, conduct, and report qualitative research; analyze findings
  • Review scientific deliverables for quality and client alignment
  • Lead project teams and supervise team members
  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to proposals and business development
  • Support conference materials and journal publications
  • Potential involvement in regulator engagement (FDA/EMA) depending on experience

Key requirements

  • BSc, MSc or equivalent in Health Psychology, Psychology, Psychological Research Methods, Sociology, Life Sciences or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in research/healthcare/consultancy
  • Experience developing/validating PRO measures or COAs
  • Experience designing qualitative research and analyzing qualitative/quantitative data
  • Pharmaceutical or life sciences client management experience
  • Strong project management, including contractual and financial aspects
  • Ability to critically review scientific and client-facing deliverables
  • Strong leadership with project team supervision
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail; ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, research ethics, data protection; regulatory engagement experience advantageous
