We are seeking a Design Manager to join our client, a joinery manufacturer based in Co. Tyrone. Acting as a central link between the design, compliance, and production teams, you will oversee all design activities related to bespoke joinery and fire-rated door systems, ensuring solutions are aligned with client requirements, industry regulations, and manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation of all technical drawings.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the design function, guiding CAD designers and technicians across both joinery and fire door projects.
  • Review and sign off on drawings, specifications, and construction methods to ensure accuracy and buildability.
  • Translate client briefs, architectural plans, and technical specifications into practical, production-ready designs.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and compliance authorities on design matters.
  • Plan and manage design schedules to align with project deadlines and delivery targets.
  • Address and resolve design challenges, including technical issues and on-site discrepancies.
  • Maintain document control processes, ensuring all revisions and records are accurately tracked.
  • Support product certification requirements and ensure full traceability for all fire-rated solutions.
  • Continuously refine design processes, standards, and detailing to improve quality and overall performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Design Manager in the joinery manufacturing or fit-out industry.
  • Strong understanding of fire compliance, certification, and testing requirements.
