Pay: Β£95,000 - Β£98,000 p/a FTE (will be paid on a day rate equivalent)

Carrington Wood is working on behalf of an established education establishment to recruit a Chief Financial Officer on an interim basis. This is a strategic finance role, providing senior financial leadership and supporting the organisation through an important period. You will play a key role in financial planning, sustainability, governance and ensuring resources are used effectively.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading financial planning and supporting long-term financial sustainability
- Identifying opportunities to maximise resources and support organisational objectives
- Leading on budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Providing clear and actionable financial insight to support strategic decision-making
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Championing best practice in financial governance and risk management
- Contributing to major projects and capital developments
- Providing senior financial advice and support to the leadership team
- Providing additional availability when required, particularly during periods such as audits
What We're Looking For
- A qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership position
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and governance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to provide clear financial advice and influence decision-making at all levels
- A proactive, collaborative and strategic approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience within education, the public sector or a similarly regulated environment would be advantageous
