Carrington Wood is supporting the appointment of a Finance & Operations Manager to oversee financial management, business operations, commercial arrangements and facilities. This is a varied and influential role combining strategic planning with hands-on responsibility. You'll work closely with senior leadership, providing financial insight, strengthening controls and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency across the organisation. What You'll Be Doing ✔ Leading financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, management reporting and financial controls ✔ Overseeing transactional finance, including invoicing, banking, reconciliations, credit control and payroll financial controls ✔ Coordinating year-end processes, external audits and financial reporting requirements ✔ Managing procurement, supplier relationships, contracts and insurance, ensuring value for money and identifying cost-saving opportunities ✔ Overseeing premises, maintenance, catering, transport and wider operational services, ensuring appropriate health and safety and compliance arrangements ✔ Supporting regulatory inspections, risk management and safeguarding-related operational requirements ✔ Working with senior leadership to support business planning, improve operational performance and provide clear financial insight ✔ Leading process improvements, streamlining administration and making better use of systems and technology ✔ Providing leadership to relevant staff and contractors, while working collaboratively with HR and payroll colleagues to maintain effective processes and business continuity What We're Looking For 💡 Significant experience in finance, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting 💡 Strong knowledge of transactional finance, financial controls, procurement and contract management 💡 Experience overseeing wider operational services 💡 Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail 💡 Confident IT skills, including experience with finance systems, spreadsheets and management information 💡 Strong communication, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to advise senior stakeholders and manage competing priorities 💡 A proactive, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach, with high levels of integrity and discretion Why You'll Love This Role ✔ Company pension scheme ✔ Free lunch provided onsite ✔ Free onsite parking ✔ A varied leadership role spanning finance, commercial management and operations ✔ The opportunity to influence senior-level decision-making and drive meaningful improvements ✔ Scope to develop systems, strengthen processes and improve operational efficiency ✔ The chance to make a tangible difference within the organisation 📩 Interested?
