As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be leading the commercial delivery of impactful self-delivery highways schemes, developing people and influencing how a growing civil engineering business operates. If you want autonomy, visibility and the chance to make a lasting impact, this role offers exactly that.

About the company

My client is a leading UK civil engineering and transport infrastructure contractor delivering highways and public realm projects through in-house self-delivery teams. With a strong reputation, long-term frameworks and continued investment in people and projects, the business is growing steadily and offers a supportive, forward-thinking environment where careers can genuinely progress.

  • Owning commercial governance across your portfolio, including NEC contract management, forecasting, CVRs and reporting
  • Working hand-in-hand with operational teams to shape commercial solutions and resolve issues early
  • Managing risk and opportunity proactively to protect and enhance margin
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships on high-profile highways projects
  • Operating autonomously, trusted to manage your portfolio while contributing to wider business improvement
  • Working in a hybrid pattern, typically spending time on site or in the Winchester office, with flexibility depending on project needs

This is not a role where you simply administer contracts - as Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be influencing outcomes, developing people and helping shape how the business grows.

  • Professional membership such as RICS or CICES (desirable)

Salary and benefits

  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience
  • Company car or car allowance
  • Private healthcare
  • Pension and life assurance
  • 25 days' annual leave plus your birthday off
  • Hybrid working where possible
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity benefits
