Responsibilities

Carrying out detailed drainage and surface water design for residential, commercial, and mixed‐use developments using industry‐standard software.

Producing design calculations, technical reports, and construction drawings to support planning submissions and technical approvals.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, planners, and flood risk specialists, to ensure integrated design outcomes.

Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to resolve technical queries and support approvals.

Reviewing site constraints and applying best practice sustainable drainage (SuDS) principles to mitigate flood risk.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience as a Drainage Design Engineer or in a relevant drainage/civil engineering design role.

Strong knowledge of drainage design principles, SuDS, and relevant UK design standards.

Proficiency with design tools such as MicroDrainage, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar software.

Good communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.

Organised, proactive, and able to manage workload effectively.
