Are you an experienced Waste Supervisor, Recycling Supervisor or Streetscene professional looking for your next contract opportunity? A client of mine is seeking a Waste Supervisor to join their busy Waste & Streetscene team in Flintshire. This is an excellent opportunity to lead front-line operational teams, ensuring waste collection and recycling services are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standards.

The Opportunity
As Waste Supervisor, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of waste and recycling services. You'll be responsible for supervising operational crews, monitoring performance and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with customer expectations. Working closely with the wider management team, you'll help maintain a high-quality service that has a direct impact on local communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate waste collection and recycling crews.
- Allocate daily work and monitor operational performance.
- Ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.
- Lead, motivate and support front-line operational staff.
- Monitor productivity and respond effectively to operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Deal professionally with customer enquiries and service-related issues.
- Support the continuous improvement of waste and recycling services.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Streetscene team.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience supervising teams within Waste, Recycling, Streetscene or Environmental Services.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
- The ability to manage competing priorities within a busy operational environment.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.
- Strong customer service skills and the confidence to resolve operational issues.
- A full UK Driving Licence.
