Are you an experienced Civil Engineer / Drainage Design Engineer looking to work on projects that make a genuine difference to local communities? A leading engineering consultancy is expanding its South Wales team due to increased demand for flood alleviation, sustainable drainage and infrastructure schemes across Rhondda Cynon Taff, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer to work on high-profile civil engineering projects with direct community impact.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead drainage and flood alleviation projects from concept through to delivery
- Develop sustainable drainage (SuDS) solutions for highways and infrastructure schemes
- Produce designs for feasibility, planning, tender and construction stages
- Carry out quality assurance and technical reviews
- Support project delivery across multidisciplinary teams
- Liaise with contractors, local authorities and external stakeholders
- Provide construction support and survey supervision
What You'll Need
- Experience delivering drainage or civil engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of SuDS, DMRB, Sewers for Adoption and CDM regulations
- Experience using Civil 3D, Causeway Flow or MicroDrainage
- Understanding of SAB processes and highway/drainage agreements
- Strong communication and project coordination skills
- Professional qualifications or working towards Chartership preferred
