Are you a Tree Team Leader looking for your next career move? This is a hands-on frontline leadership role, responsible for supervising operational teams and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard across the borough. You'll lead and support a team of operational staff, organise daily workloads, allocate resources and ensure work is completed effectively while maintaining excellent standards of health and safety, customer service and environmental performance. This role requires 5 days per week on site/in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise tree and arboricultural teams, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality service delivery.
  • Plan daily workloads, routes and team allocations to maximise productivity and resource efficiency.
  • Allocate staff, vehicles, plant, machinery, tools and PPE according to operational requirements.
  • Monitor team performance, productivity and work quality against agreed targets and standards.
  • Provide clear instructions, on-the-job training, coaching and day-to-day support to staff.
  • Ensure all tree works are completed in line with specifications, risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience supervising or leading a tree, arboriculture or environmental services team.
  • Experience delivering tree maintenance, tree surgery or arboricultural operations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • C1 Driving Licence or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver CPC / DQC.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Arboriculture, Horticulture, Grounds Maintenance, Environmental Services or a related discipline.
